Tashanda Stokes-King

Bio:

A lady who wears many hats. She describes herself as a phenomenal woman. Tashanda Stokes-King  is the author of Anyla's School Day. This children's book was inspired by her daughter Lyriq Anyla King, who is one of the "Just for Me" hair texturizer models that you can see featured on shelves in stores around the United States to this current day.

Tashanda is a native of Swainsboro, Georgia where she was raised. She has been shaping young minds for over two decades as the former owner of Wonderland Daycare Center and Little Sunshine Daycare Center.   She ended the daycare business when her mom was dealing with stage 4 cancer. This took a big toll in Tashanda's life and other events that occurred due to her mom's passing. Tashanda took a break to deal with many challenges, which involved reassessing some goals. She kept her eyes on God to help her through the obstacles. Tashanda took some time out for self-assessment to reflect and accept some things might need to be left behind to focus on moving forward with a positive mindset.

Through all of the events that occurred in Tashanda's life, she still kept her faith in God. She began to practice her faith at Cornerstone Christian Faith Center Church under the leadership of Pastor Earnestine Patterson where she currently works with the Children's ministry at her church.

Tashanda is now residing in Waynesboro, Georgia where she is channeling her inner child to write picture books that are not just for fun, but also educational. She also enjoys pageantry, where she directs Mr & Ms. Royal Pageant and Etiquette camps for children.  Tashanda Stokes-King remains committed to enchanting and inspiring young readers to feel confident, special, and strong.  When Tashanda is not writing, she treasures time spent with her companion, amazing two children, and her sweet, adorable granddaughters.
