Pastor Jacqueline Goodwin, you are the author of your book, “Healing in the Vessel A Mother’s Love A Daughter’s Journey of Faith.” I absolutely love the title. Tell us about your book and what inspired you to write it.

This book is a compilation of my testimonies that God took me through, but He also brought me out. My testimonies attest to the fact that God still performs miracles and provisions. It demonstrates how He used my testimonies to mold me into the servant and Woman of God I am today. Holy Spirit inspired me to write this book to share how God healed me from HIV and this miraculous healing birth not: only in this book but my ministry, Healing in the Vessel International Ministries.

You also wrote the book, “From Bitter to Better.” I found this title to be interesting. Can you tell the readers more about your book and the reason you wrote it?

From Bitter to Better was birth from hurt from Church, family, friendship, marriage, and relationship. It provides affirmations, strategic steps, and prayers to help individuals process unhealthy emotions and move to a healthy state.

I know you have been a co-author of several anthology books. Tell us about some of the books you co-authored.

Grief to Grind Anthology: How Did I Lose Myself in a Relationship, Meant for My Good, 31 Ways of Influence, Women of Power II, Hearing God’s Voice Above The Chaos, The Power of Her Testimony, It Takes Money Honey and Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude. 31 Ways of Influence, I have two chapters in that anthology. One of my chapters entitled, “How to Forgive When Hurt by God’s Anointed?” I elaborated on how a pastor hurt me in a relationship and how God heals me and uses it for my ministry.

If the readers would like to order copies of your books, where can they purchase them? www.healinginthevesselministries.com and it is available on Amazon.

What advice would you give to someone who is experiencing a challenging time in their life and need emotional/mental healing?

James 2:17 tells us: Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Therefore, I encourage individuals to seek godly counsel and be proactive about their healing journey. They should find the resources such as mental health counseling and make an appointment. You must take the time to work through it. Do not brush it under the rug, but deal with your issues.

What is one of your greatest accomplishments?

One of my most significant accomplishments was publishing my first book.

Do you have any upcoming conferences, events, or workshops?

I am working on a Women’s Conference the dates will be announced once everything is finalized.

Give us some words to educate, inspire, and encourage women, and the readers of Growth Women’s Business Networks Magazine.

Do not allow your pain to be a stumbling block that hinders you from walking effectively in your God-given purpose! Take the time and the steps to heal because The absence of pain is the presence of healing! Therefore Life cannot be lived: until you have gone through pain and experienced the Healing power of God.
